Meet the Team

Phil founded MVM in 2001 after many years in institutional investment management as well as prior experience in investment banking and public accounting (former CPA). Phil has conducted investment research for some of the country's most successful firms, including Sasco Capital, where he was Managing Director, Iridian Asset Management and Forstmann-Leff Associates. Phil received his BS with honors from Lehigh University and MBA with distinction from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the Stamford CFA Society and Rotary International.

Joseph joined MVM in 2008 after having spent more than 20 years in investment management and public accounting (former CPA). Joseph has conducted investment research for several notable value-oriented firms including Epoch Investment Partners, where he was an owner and Managing Director, and First Manhattan Company. Joseph received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia and MBA from Columbia University.

Jean joined MVM in 2005 and has 12 years of investment experience. Previously, Jean worked as an equity analyst for a number of small investment advisors and worked in both an analytical and back office role for Westport Asset Management earlier in her career. Jean has a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University.

Lilly joined MVM in 2011 and has over 16 years of investment and operations experience. She held similar positions with First Republic Investment Management, Epoch Investment Partners, Steinberg Asset Management and Reich & Tang. Lilly attended Bernard Baruch College.

Rob joined MVM in 2009 with more than 15 years of institutional client service and marketing experience.  Rob has worked with notable firms such as Glenmede, Davidson Capital Management and most recently, Verdis Investment Management.  He has a B.A. in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College.

Denise joined MVM shortly after the founding of the firm in 2001 and has 23 years experience in the investment management industry. Denise worked at Sasco Capital for several years in various roles supporting business management, research, operations, and marketing. Denise received her BS in Marketing from Post University.

Charlotte joined MVM in 2006 and serves as the office administrator.  She has held various administrative positions over her career.  She has an AAS degree from Westchester Community College.
